The main goal of this project is the conservation of certain endangered species in Córdoba. Volunteers are needed to help the local community protect the growing number of animals and the surrounding environment. This project is based in a private park, where volunteers will assist in the care and conservation of the environment and wild life. Because not enough local volunteers are available to provide proper oversight on the growing numbers of animals, we therefore need the help of international volunteers.

Where will I be volunteering?

You will be volunteering in the beautiful and unique Calamuchita Valley. It is roughly 100 km, or 90 minutes by bus from Córdoba city. Córdoba is located in the heart of Argentina and is the second largest city in the country. The rich Spanish colonial heritage is still alive, with many old churches and traditional buildings still intact. Córdoba has a vibrant cultural scene, and you will enjoy the famous kindness and hospitality of the "Cordobeses". It is a major cosmopolitan city with all the conveniences that volunteers expect.

What will I be doing?

You will be working with the staff, assisting in the protection of the environment, and animals in the park. You will help to feed the animals and clean their living areas, take part in repair projects or construction of new facilities, and become involved with current administrative duties.

Will I be able to communicate with family and friends?

There are internet cafes throughout Calamuchita Valley, which will allow you to communicate with your friends and family back home. You will also find pay phones dispersed throughout the town which you can use to make local or international calls with a calling card.

What can I do in my free time?

uVolunteer anticipates and encourages your desire for travel and adventure. Your time away from volunteering is open for you to decide your activities.
