In Argentina, we have a uVolunteer representative staff that works to provide a fulfilling and safe volunteer abroad experience. The staff members in Argentina are not only a part of the uVolunteer team, but also natives that can offer advice only known by locals. Like all of our programs, each volunteer will have 24-hour connection with uVolunteer in-country staff.
Marcelo Cuestas - Program Manager
Marcelo was born and raised in Cordoba, Argentina. At the age of 17 he moved to the US to study, and enjoyed it so much that he developed a passion for travelling and learning other languages. Apart from Argentina and the US, he has lived in Germany, Italy, Spain, and Brazil. Marcelo can speak English, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. He has a degree in Law, but decided to work with intercultural and educational programs based in Argentina. He is the director of our local partner organization, and loves his job because can learn about other cultures, and share his culture with people from all around the world.
Carlos Prieto Lamas - Volunteer Coordinator
Carlos is very important for our program in Argentina. He accompanies all the volunteers to their placements, ensures that the placements are suitable for them, and he takes care of all other needs while they’re in the program. He can speak English and Spanish, and ensures that the volunteer’s role is understood by the local community. In his free time, Carlos enjoys working on the construction of his new house in the beautiful 'Sierras de Cordoba' (Cordoba Mountains.)
