Volunteers will divide their time working in two separate Gender Equality Programs. The first of which is responsible for developing community-based initiatives to promote social justice. The goal has been to challenge the marginalization and injustice of the poor, ethnic groups, and oppressed women. The second program is a shelter for single mothers and their babies, which offers a safe haven for these young women away from abuse, abandonment or neglect. The shelter provides general healthcare, in addition to which, many professional lawyers, psychologists and other specialists offer their free time to care for female victims of sexual abuse and/or violence.
