This private, non-profit organization aims to improve the quality of life of an important area in Córdoba. They started as a small open library located in a poor area on the east side of Córdoba city. Since then, the organization has been very successful in improving the living conditions of the local population, from a cultural, social and economic perspective. The government of Córdoba established a cultural center in the city, and together, they have the capacity to organize different kinds of cultural and educational events.

Where will I be volunteering?
Córdoba is located in the heart of Argentina and is the second largest city in the country. The rich Spanish colonial heritage is still alive, with many old churches and traditional buildings still intact. Córdoba has a vibrant cultural scene, and you will enjoy the famous kindness and hospitality of the "Cordobeses". It is a major cosmopolitan city with all the conveniences that volunteers expect.

What will I be doing?
- Teaching basic & intermediate English to children and adults.
- Organizing recreational activities.
- Participating in cultural activities.
- Helping with current administrative issues.
- Developing creative programs such as art, music, dance, etc.
- Assisting local volunteers in the Project's library.
What is required to volunteer on this project?
- Language Requirement: Intermediate Spanish
However, you can still join this project if your Spanish does not meet the requirements, by taking our Spanish language course. - Must be 18 or older.
What will my schedule be like?
uVolunteer believes that you should have a well balanced work and play schedule. This means you will only be required to work 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) for a maximum of 6 hours per day. For the remainder of your time, you will be free to enjoy the vacationing aspects of your trip.

Will I be able to communicate with family and friends?
There are numerous communication centers and internet cafes in Córdoba that give you the opportunity to communicate with your friends and family back home. You will also find pay phones dispersed throughout the town which you can use to make local or international calls with a calling card.
What can I do in my free time?
uVolunteer anticipates and encourages your desire for travel and adventure. Your time away from volunteering is open for you to decide your activities. You may decide to take advantage of the local culture and spend time within the community over the weekend. Otherwise, there is ample opportunity to explore Argentina and all it has to offer.
Great weekend trips include:
