San Ramon

San Ramon is one of the larger Central Valley coffee towns set in a scenic valley enclosed by rolling mountains. It is a very unique and close knit town that is just being discovered by the international community wanting a true Costa Rican experience. This is in some part due to the National Geographic Magazine issue that referred to San Ramon as having "the best climate in the world."

Located in the Alajuela province, San Ramon is about 50Km north of the capital city of San Jose and 45Km inland from the Central Pacific beaches. Just south of Costa Rica's cloud rain forest belt and east of Lake Arenal, San Ramon is the ideal central location for travel around Costa Rica.

Apart from its weather and central location, it is the people of San Ramon that really shine as one of the friendliest people you will meet in Costa Rica. The proud people of Ramon are genuinely friendly to all travelers and are eager to make everyone feel welcome. The University of Costa Rica campus in the town ensures that Ramon has vibrant night life. There are numerous cafes, restaurants and traditional bars in town that still serve free Bocas (small meals!) when you order.

Montezuma

This great project is located in the communities of Montezuma, Las Delicias and Cabuya which are situated on the southern Nicoya Peninsula. This area is known not only as a haven and hangout for some of the world's most creative people, but also as the one most beautiful environment to live in.

Matapalo

Playa Matapalo, unlike its more popular neighbors, Dominical and Quepos/Manuel Antonio does not have world-class surf or a famous park to draw international tourists. The town is usually bypassed in favor of more established destinations and this has caused of the town to remain more tranquil and the area to retain a more natural charm.

Samara

Samara is a small beach town located in Costa Rica's North-Wastern Pacific Coast, in the Guanacaste province. The town is a popular destination for Costa Rican's on holiday. This means apart from vacation periods such as Christmas, Easter, public holidays etc., the town is somewhat quiet. But because of Samara's premier Spanish language school and our volunteer programs based in and around the town, there are always a number of foreign students and travelers which give Samara the feeling of a laid back college town. Samara is the ideal location to relax and learn about real Guanacaste life.
