Our volunteer teaching English programs in Costa Rica are ideal for volunteers who are interested in working with children and adults to improve their English language skills. Our program are based in a wide range of settings and environments and you do not have to have a background or experience in teaching to participate on these projects as the focus is on providing practical conversational English language use.
You will be teaching a variety of English classes from kinder to adults. Classes differ in each location but generally the focus is on vocabulary, conversation, and listening activities.
Volunteers who teach English need to be creative and self-motivated as even the most basic resources can be limited. However, the student's genuine need for tuition and conversational English practice make these projects really rewarding.
Community Classes: These is by no doubt the most popular class we have in San Ramon, members of the community sign up for these free classes, so we have a high demand for volunteers wiling to work with this group. This project is an ideal volunteer project because students naturally befriend volunteer teachers and eventually the friendships that are formed enable a fastest means of cultural exchange. You will make friends on this program that will last long after you have returned to your country.
