Most Ghanaians remain among the world's poorest people, earning an average of less than $4 per day. Despite a large percent of Ghana's population lacking in basic needs, Ghanaians are renowned worldwide for their friendliness and hospitality. Although Ghana has a growing middle class, a tenth of the adult population is unemployed and 40 percent are illiterate. We work with several projects that try to address these issues.
Our volunteer projects in Ghana are based in several locations throughout Ghana. Our wide range of projects and locations enable volunteers to combine projects to see as much of this fascinating country and its people as possible. Ghana is a safe country that is proud of their culture, history, and tradition. This project will provide you with a great opportunity to make lifelong friends and discover the sights and smells of West Africa.
