This project will provide you with the perfect opportunity to experience and to learn about medical practices and healthcare in Ghana. We can offer a range of volunteer placements in many different departments such as physical therapy, surgery, pharmacy, orthopedics, nursing and dentistry, accident and emergency, maternity and midwifery, etc. Regardless of the department you volunteer in, the work will be very hands on and you will have plenty opportunity to observe and interact with patients, medical students and other local professionals.

Where will I be volunteering?

Our Medicine and Healthcare projects are based in the two main hospitals of Koforidua. Koforidua is the capital of the Eastern Region of Ghana. It has all the modern amenities but unlike the capital Accra and other more touristic towns it is very laid back and unhurried. We believe that Koforidua is a great location to experience why Ghanaians have a reputation for being kind and very welcoming.
