Adjusting to the monks' lifestyle was very easy because it was so simple. My life in Nepal consisted of teaching, meditation and praying with the monks and playing games with them.

It was one of the best months of my life and I will surely never forget it. Because I was always so busy having fun and teaching English, I haven’t had a chance to leave the monastery on the weekends to do trips and stuff, but what I did do was play football with the monks which was awesome because they were really good.

My choice to come to Nepal and spend some time volunteering was so much more of an experience than I ever thought it would be. I came here to teach English, and with that came so much more...

It seems that in the last seven weeks we had a life time's worth of experiences happen to us ranging from the good, bad, and butt clenching terrifying to the breathtaking (literally) and rather grotty (that would be the illness side of things, that you kind of just get used to).

We kicked off our stay with the training and sightseeing in Kathmandu, all good fun, language lessons with Sanju be an experience, were not too great at languages, but we got the essentials sorted in our heads...
