In Peru, we have a uVolunteer representative staff that works to provide a fulfilling and safe volunteer abroad experience. The staff members in Peru are not only a part of the uVolunteer team, but also natives that can offer advice only known by locals. Like all of our programs, each volunteer will have 24-hour connection with uVolunteer in-country staff.
Luis Delgado Maguina - Project Coordinator
Luis is a qualified English, Social Science, and Art Teacher. He really enjoys meeting volunteers from different countries. He makes all the arrangements for the volunteer’s unique teaching placement, home stay accommodations, gives Spanish lessons, and helps with any cultural activities you may be interested in. He assists all volunteers in becoming familiar with Huaraz and the surrounding area in liaising with Peruvian people. He also provides teaching techniques learned from many years in front of a classroom. He lives in Huaraz with his wife and his two children.
Sindy Delgado Angeles - Desk Officer
Sindy is the secretary for the organization. She is a qualified teacher in English and Spanish for Peruvian students of all ages. She is also qualified to teach Spanish as a second language to foreigners. She specializes in creating personalized Spanish courses and private tuition classes for learners of all levels, from beginners, intermediate and advanced.
Haydee Haydee - Volunteer Dorm Manager
Haydee is in charge of the economic handling for the organization. She is an art teacher and is responsible of all the financials. Her role besides supervising the cooking is teaching to weave, to spin, and embroidery with Peruvian designs.
